The work is unglamorous and carries a reputation – but collections is vitally important to helping businesses provide for their employees and customers, and helping consumers access important credit products and services. We like it to a ‘white collar janitorial service’ – and Aktos is helping lead the industry into the future: empowering collectors with class-leading technologies to efficiently collect, stay compliant and build trust with consumers, and transcend cost pressures to new revenue heights previously thought impossible.

Aktos builds for the enterprise, but solves for the consumer. The best way to solve the pain points for consumers is to start with the origin of the problem. By empowering agencies, we make it easier for consumers to interact with agents in a more efficient and compliant way.

Debt collection is a heavily regulated space, and Aktos is prioritizing compliance first to benefit the consumer, collection agency, and the creditor. We follow the mantra of “compliance as code” so a user of our platform will not be able to violate CFPB, FCRA, or FDCPA regulations. In doing so, we help the industry evolve beyond its image and herald a new era of compliant collections.

Aktos fundamentally exists to solve people's problems. We work in the collections space, where 70% of Americans have some form of debt. The collections industry has 20-40 year-old incumbents, and because they've struggled to evolve with the changing laws, consumers experience a lack of transparency and a loss of accuracy. This ultimately interrupts people's lives and makes resolving their unpaid debts opaque and painful. Aktos steps in to provide clear, effortless, and digital ways for folks to interface with and resolve their debts while building consumer protection laws right into our software.
